This blend of seven spices is also known as a baharat in Arabic (which means "spices"). The combinations of spices you can use for your baharat are as endless and varied as the people who make them. So feel free to use this as a base and experiment with other flavors as you go. This blend is delicious as a rub for meat, and can become a marinade when mixed with olive oil. You can also incorporate it into grains, tofu or vegetables.
